Kevin M. Carroll

Carroll, Kevin M, 45, of Rutherford, NJ passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024 after a valiant battle with cancer. Kevin is survived by his pride and joy, partner in head-banging, travel companion, and son – Tyler Carroll.

Kevin was a huge fan of heavy metal music –especially Pantera and Rancid - and attended more concerts than one can count. But his true passion was the NY Mets. He was a devoted member of the illustrious 7 Line Army – attending games at Citi Field and following the ‘Army’ around the country.

After graduating Lyndhurst High School in 1996, he entered the printing profession, which he learned in the LHS print shop. He worked for Superior Press, National Press, and Graytor Printing. He was also employed by BAUMAR Industries.

In 2021, Kevin found his true calling with the Lyndhurst Parks Department, serving the town he grew up by maintaining the Township’s many parks and recreational facilities. He regularly and proudly spoke of the comradery of Parks Department employees. In a short period of time, they became family.

Kevin was very generous with his time to his community. He coached Lyndhurst Little League’s Savinos with his father, uncle, and cousin. He umpired High School, Babe Ruth, and Little League Baseball games. He was a Member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 139 and the Rutherford Elks. He was a proud Eagle Scout and volunteered with his son Tyler’s Scout troop.

Loving Father of Tyler Carroll. Beloved son of Barbara and the late Charlie Carroll; Brother of Jeff, his wife Shannon; Cherished uncle of Lizzie, and Ryan. Dear nephew of Michael Carroll & his wife Linda and Maureen Rafter. Adored cousin of Glenn (Stacie), Christine (Rachelle), Sean, Pamela (Kenny), Keith, Lauren (Mike) Colleen, and his partner in mischief Jaclyn (Rick).

Friends will be received Monday, January 8th, from 2PM-4PM & 6PM-9PM at the Ippolito Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst. Funeral Service Tuesday 10AM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

As Kevin was happiest in a Mets jersey or a concert tee shirt, he requested that you attend the wake/funeral in your ‘everyday clothes’. Jackets/Ties not required.
