Lilawati Ojha

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lilawati Ojha, a devoted mother, grandmother and friend, who left this world on February 2, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on August 9, 1933, in Kitty, Georgetown, Guyana to Soomair & Magnee Maraj, Lilawati lived a life filled with love, resilience, and dedication.

As a seamstress, she was known for her exceptional skills and creativity, bringing warmth and care to each piece she crafted. Her work not only reflected her talent but also showcased her deep commitment to her family and community. Lilawati's spirit was one of unwavering kindness, and she touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by six children, Guy, Nadira, Bhisham, Sandra, Prem and Yogeeta who will forever cherish the warmth of her love and the lessons she imparted throughout his life. She is predeceased by her cherished husband, Rabindra Ojha and two sons Mahendra and Roy

Friends & family will be received Friday 5-9 PM and Saturday 9-11:30 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst.

In this time of sorrow, we hold dear the cherished memories of Lilawati Ojha, whose light will forever shine in our hearts. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May her soul rest in peace.
