Lillian Abandand

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Abandand, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who left this world peacefully on August 16, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on August 25, 1929, in Porto Azzurro, Italy, Lillian's spirit radiated warmth and kindness throughout her life.

Lillian dedicated many years of her professional life as a secretary in the insurance industry, working proudly at John Hancock. She was known for her unwavering dedication, meticulous attention to detail, and her ability to create an inviting atmosphere in the workplace.

For the past six years, Lillian resided at Arbor Terrace, where she received exceptional support, compassion, and care from the wonderful staff. Their commitment to her well-being allowed Lillian to thrive, and her family is incredibly grateful for the love they provided.

Devoted wife of the late Ralph Abandand. She will be deeply missed by her cherished daughter, Cabrina & her husband William Kinslow, Jr. She leaves behind a legacy of joy and laughter, remembered fondly by her grandsons: William & his wife Kristen, Stephen & his wife Lindsey, and Daniel. Adored great-grandmother of Teddy and Robbie. Each of whom carries treasured memories of their fun and vibrant Grandma, who had an unbelievable spark for life and a smile that could light up any room.

Funeral Tuesday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10AM at St. Thomas More. Interment Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Friends and family will be received Monday 3-7pm at the funeral home where they can celebrate the joy Lillian brought to their lives and the unforgettable legacy she leaves behind.
