Linda died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her presence will be immeasurably missed by all who loved her. Linda was born in Paterson, NJ to Ray and Sarah ("Sally") (nee Clyans) Courtright. She and her younger sister were inseparable throughout their lives.
While raising her two children, Linda worked steadfastly for eighteen years at an insurance company until her retirement in 2014. As a mother of two, Linda laid the foundation for her children by rooting them in a love of family traditions and by creating a fun and happy home - one they loved returning to as adults, "Home is where your mom is". She loved spending as much time as possible with her devoted daughter, son and daughter-in-law and loving sister. Most of all, she loved time spent in the company of her beloved grandchildren and they cherished every moment with her as well - reading to her and always checking on her.
Linda always had everyone giggling, including herself. She was sweet and silly, loved dancing, Latin music, going to craft shows, the shore, the diner, finding sweet treats, taking spontaneous trips to NYC with her daughter or to the casino with her son. She always loved being so beautifully put together. With her matching accessories, pretty shoes and perfume, she sparkled. Linda valued time with her family and her friends who became family and she never wanted to miss out on any of the fun. She was small but mighty and so very strong, especially during the past few weeks.
She is survived by her devoted children, daughter, Nicole Schubert, son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Mary Schubert, beloved grandchildren, John and Ava, loving sister, Debbie, nieces, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
