La Pollo, Lucy (nee Ioli) , 97, of Lyndhurst, NJ formerly of Corona, Queens, NY on Friday, September 11, 2009. Lucy was employed from the 1950's until the 1970's as a seamstress by Star Coat Manufacturing of Hoboken, NJ. Cherished daughter of the late John and Assunta (nee Colletta) Ioli. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas "Pinky" La Pollo. Loving mother of Michael A. La Pollo, and the late Donald La Pollo & Lucy Ann (LuLu) Scardino. Dear sister of Flora Scardino, Freddy Ioli, and 8 late siblings. Lucy was the warm and loving grandmother of Rosemary La Pollo, Mary Ann Scardino, Michele & her husband Kevin Wilczynski, Nicholas La Pollo, Rosemary Scardino-Villa, Johna & her husband Anthony Arena, Lucy Ann & her husband Peter DeGrazio, John Jr. "Gio" & his wife Michelle Scardino. Cherished great grandmother of Michele & her husband Michael Hrinewski, Joseph & Donald Wilczynski, Alexandra Villa, Candace Hulse, Anthony Arena Jr., Toni Ann, Peter, Lucy Ann "LuLu", & Johnny "JD" DeGrazio, Anthony Scardino, and Jason & Gianna Lucia Scardino. Lucy was also an aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Known as Grandma Lucy by many, she will be in our hearts, loved forever, and dearly missed. Funeral Thursday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday & Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
