Margaret Sloan

Margaret Sloan (nee Owen), 94, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, April 18, 2011. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Patricia Sloan Stucker & her husband the late Gilbert, Richard & his wife Blanca Bravo Sloan and Raymond Sloan. Cherished grandmother of Scott Stucker, Stephanie Martinez, Lisa, Robert & Michael Sloan. Adored great-grandmother of Sergio Martinez. Mrs. Sloan was born in Bayonne, NJ. She graduated from Bayonne High School and spent 2 years at Beaver College in Jenkins, PA. She also attended Pace Institute for Business in New York. She worked as a secretary for several companies but spent most of her working years at a trucking company located in Lyndhurst, Kingsway Transports Ltd., before retiring in 1972. Mrs. Sloan was a member of the Woman's Club of Lyndhurst for over 60 years and a member of Sacred Heart Seniors, St. Michaels Seniors and AARP Seniors Club. Funeral Thursday at 11 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
