Van Heest, Maria D. (nee Veltre), of Wallington, NJ on Saturday, December 20, 2003. Beloved wife of the late James. Loving mother of Elizabeth Capriola and Angela Mannino. Dear sister of Michael Veltre. Cherished grandmother of two and great-grandmother of 5. Mrs. Van Heest was a former resident of Jersey City. She was a secretary for the Jersey City Board of Education for 35 years before retiring in 1985. Funeral Monday 8:30am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 9:30am at St. Joseph's RC Church, East Rutherford. Entombment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
