Maria "Maritsa" Nicolaou

Maria "Maritsa" Nicolaou (nee Georghiou Varianides), 91, of Ocala, FL and long-time resident of Fairfield, NJ passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Maria was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who spread her love and wisdom as she touched the lives of everyone she met. Loving wife of the late Constantinos "Gus" Nicolaou and the beloved mother of Georgia & her husband Loizos Nicolaou, Andreas & his wife Barbara, Anthoula (deceased) & her husband George Kyriacou. She was the beautiful grandmother of Michael, Constantina, Christopher, Dean, Stefanie, Daniella, Dean & Andreas; great-grandmother to Casey, Mikayla, Daniel, Anthony, Joseph, George, Mariana, Elijah (deceased), Angelique, Darius, Caitlyn, Maddison, Nickolas, Zoie, Krystiana & Matthew and great-great-grandmother to Kaylee and Agape. Maria is also survived by her brother Demetrios "Jimmy" Varianides. Funeral Monday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Liturgy 10 AM St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Clifton. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Viewing hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
