Marie A. Janowski

Marie A. Janowski (nee Czarnecki), 97, lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Marie had a zest for life through her entire 97 years. Her greatest pride & passion were her family and her generous spirit and selflessness will live on in their hearts forever. Beloved wife of the late Commissioner Walter Janowski. Loving mother of Martin & his wife Connie Janowski, Marcia Janowski, and the late Barbara Tarin. Cherished Baci Mary of 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Janowski was an active parishioner of St. Michael's Church as a eucharistic minister, member of the rosary society, and committee member for their 100 year celebration. Marie was the VP of the Board of Trustees for the Lyndhurst library and a founder of their crochet club. She was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club and past president of the St. Michael's Seniors. She was a humanitarian who loved birds and was an avid gardener, crocheter, reader, baker, and seamstress. Funeral Saturday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Michael's R.C. Church. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
