Mario Moriano, Sr., 89, of Little Ferry, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Adored father of Linda Cutruzzula & her husband Joseph, Anthony Moriano and Mario Moriano, Jr.; eldest grandson Joseph Jr. & his wife Maria, expecting parents Jesse Mario & Sidney, Jordan, Mario, Anthony and Faith; great-grandsons Joseph Thomas III, Nicholas Rocco, Jesse Mario and baby boy Cut 2023. Proud uncle of his Godson Carmine Iannacone along with many of his nieces and nephews, his great-nieces and great-nephews who truly loved and looked up to him. Mario was a "man's man" and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was known to be a very hard worker and when you hear the song "My Way" by Frank Sinatra this describes the life of a Man named Mario Moriano. On October 13, 1946, at the age of thirteen he came to America from Manocalzati Italy with his mom, Assunta, his brother Marco and sister Concetta on the SS Willard H. Holbrock and he found the "American Dream". His father Antonio came one year later and his sister Carmela came later. Mario's family resided and remained in the beautiful township of Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Mario met his first love Angelina Rose Leone at age 16 and they were married in 1953. He proudly served in the US Army. They then had three children and built a successful business together known as Jersey Carting Inc. located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. If you can measure the wealth of a Man based on the love of his family and friends then it was golden to know that Mario had an extremely successful life. In keeping with his modest ways along with honoring his Italian traditions he could hang amongst kings or paupers and he made everyone feel as if they were "famiglia". Everyone who knew him felt that he was the type of guy that would give the shirt off his back. Mario enjoyed Atlantic City and the Meadowlands Race Track but his passion was watching all of his "boys" play football, baseball and wrestle. He never missed a game or a match "whistling" and yelling out "Forza" and these were his most exciting moments in his life. Mario also enjoyed making his Easter pies and his famous ham. You were our world and you will be missed by all unmeasurably...God blessed us with you. Your beautiful wife Angela and your family are welcoming you into Heaven with "arms wide open" granting you with the peace and rest that you earned and duly deserve! Your proof a modest man can be a Giant! Funeral Mass Saturday July 30th, 11AM, at Sacred Heart Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
