Mary Ann Connolly

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Connolly, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us peacefully on January 9, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on November 21, 1939, in Teaneck, NJ to Joseph & Ann Sheridan, Mary Ann lived a life full of compassion and loyalty.

She dedicated 35 years of her life to the Clifton Board of Education as an Administrative Assistant. Her unwavering commitment to education illustrated her belief in the power of knowledge and community, and her warmth and kindness will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Beloved wife of the late Edward Connolly. Loving sister of Mildred Ferraro and the late John Sheridan and Edythe Shaw. Cherished aunt of Joseph Shaw, Michelle Rizzo and the late James Shaw Jr. and Edythe Sich. She is also survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews who will continue to carry on her legacy of love and devotion.

Graveside service Saturday, January 17, 2026, 11AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Mary Ann's life, share memories, and honor the extraordinary person she was. May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
