It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nadia Haeik, beloved sister, aunt and cherished member of our community, who left us on March 11, 2026, at the age of 85. Nadia was born on February 6, 1941, in Aleppo, Syria, and she later made her home in New Jersey.

Nadia was a remarkable woman whose gentle spirit and loving heart touched the lives of many. She had a profound love for red roses, which symbolized her vibrant personality and brought her joy throughout her life. Her passion for knitting was not just a hobby, but a way for her to spread happiness. Nadia loved to create beautiful pieces for friends and family, always thinking of herself as a businesswoman when they offered to pay her for her thoughtful creations.

Her bond with her family was unwavering. She adored her nephew Richard Rosario and loved his wife, Macarena, as if she were her own niece. Nadia's warmth and affection knew no bounds, reflecting the strength of her character and the depth of her love for those around her.

Nadia also found great joy at the Diamond Years Adult Day Care Center in Haledon, where she forged many friendships and embraced each day with enthusiasm. She was known for her commitment to attending, never wanting to miss a day, even for a doctor's appointment. Her laughter and kindness will be sorely missed by her friends and caregivers at the center.

She is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Louris Rosario, and brother-in-law, Carmelo Rosario, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Nadia was preceded in death by her parents, Fathallah and Samieh Haeik (nee Karme); and her siblings, George Haeik, Edmond Haeik, Tony Haeik, and Antoinette Haeik de Baladi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 10AM-11:30AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Funeral Service Tuesday 11:30AM at the funeral home, followed by a burial at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa NJ.

In honoring her memory, let us remember the love, kindness, and creativity she shared with the world, much like the beautiful red roses she cherished. May her spirit continue to blossom in the hearts of those she touched.
