Nelson Aponte, 71, of Fairfield, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Beloved husband of Gladys (nee Fonalledas) Aponte. Loving father of Gina Lisa Di Paola, Nelson Jr. & his wife Katie Aponte and Loreen Aponte. Dear brother of Nydia Aponte and the late Arcadio & Louis Aponte. Cherished grandfather of Antonio Di Paola. Mr. Aponte was a veteran of the US Airforce having served from 1964 to 1969. Nelson was the Director of Administrations for ABC in New York City. Funeral Thursday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM at St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Entombment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
