Patricia Masella

September 17, 1944 — July 30, 2025

Patricia R. Masella, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a nurturing caretaker to many, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on September 17, 1944, in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Pasquale & Florence Mandalari, Patricia devoted a significant portion of her life to her family and community, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.

Patricia ("Babe") was united in love and partnership with her beloved husband, Thomas Masella, for 64 remarkable years, having celebrated nearly 58 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Loving mother of Thomas Masella, Christopher Masella, Matthew Masella & his wife Rochelle and Nicole Breslin & her husband Joe. Devoted grandmother of Jillian, Joseph, Luke, Emily, Matteo, and Tomaso. Dear sister of Frances Mandalari. Cherished daughter-in-law of Lena Masella. Also survived by many dear friends and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close.

Pat was an instrumental part of the start of her husband's dental practice which became Masella Family Dental. She and her husband worked side by side to create a warm office environment for the patients and while raising her family continued to contribute to the practice. She was once an active member of the Junior Women's Club in West Caldwell, a CCD teacher at St. Thomas More Church, and the co-founder of Shining Star Productions. Patricia was also involved in the World Wide Marriage Encounter, where she enriched the lives of couples seeking deeper connections.

Beyond her professional commitments, Patricia was known for her nurturing spirit, serving as a mother figure to countless children, who lovingly referred to her as "Aunt Pat". Her selflessness and dedication to caregiving were hallmarks of her character. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life and supported them in all of their endeavors. Pat was everyone's biggest fan. She could always be found on the sidelines or in the stands cheering on all of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield, on Friday, 2-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas More Church Saturday 10:30AM where family and friends will gather to celebrate Pat's life and legacy. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, reflecting Patricia's compassionate spirit and her commitment to helping others.
