It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patrick Marchetta, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, who departed this life on July 16, 2025, at the age of 72. Patrick was born on August 5, 1952, in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he spent his childhood. He raised his family in Boonton Township and eventually settled in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, where he spent his later years.
Patrick graduated from Pratt Institute and devoted his professional life to the field of architecture and planning as an esteemed registered architect, proud owner, & operator of his own practice, Patrick Marchetta Architect/Planner, in Lyndhurst NJ. His contributions to architectural services were both impactful and enduring, and he was respected by peers and clients alike. He also was a former member of the Rutherford Rotary Club and coordinated various town events.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Anne Marchetta (nee Simone); his cherished sons, Steven Patrick Marchetta and Eric Gerard Marchetta; his dear sister, Patricia and her husband Tommy Pace; his niece, Kristin and her husband Chris; his nephew, Kenny and his wife Donna; as well as, his grand-nieces, Kelcie and Lexi. Patrick's legacy will continue through the lives he touched, inspiring all who had the privilege to know him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM in Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst NJ. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025 at 10:30am in Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst NJ. Entombment, to follow, Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, North Arlington NJ.
