Raymond Joseph DiGuilio

Raymond Joseph DiGuilio, 91, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Beloved husband of Irene (nee Parisi) DiGuilio. Loving father of Donna & her husband David Bunnell, and Ann Appel. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Kaiser. Dear brother of Josephine Thompson, Nancy Medina, Helen Gilson, Viola Ficarro, Susan Ippolito, Angelo DiGuilio, Sylvia Ramos, Leo DiGuilio, Henry DiGuilio, Hilary DiGuilio, Madeline Godino and Joanne Petersen. Also survived by an abundance of loving nieces and nephews, as well as greatnieces and nephews. Mr. Diguilio was a proud veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War from 1953-1961. He was a prominent member of the VFW Post 7925 where he served as Commander in 1980 and 1981 and was the Grand Marshall in the 2016 Memorial Day Parade. He was an active Parishioner of St. Thomas More Church where he was an Usher, Maintenance Worker, and Volunteer at many events but especially the Carnival. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-9PM. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 OR VFW Post 7925, 45 Plymouth St., Fairfield, NJ 07004.
