Fogas, Robert A., 76, of Rutherford, NJ passed away on September 7, 2013. He was born on September 29, 1936 to the late Anthony & Mary (nee Cechony) Fogas. He worked for 38 years in the New York City Police Department. Beloved husband of Adelaida (nee Gomez). Loving father Ivette (nee Rosedietcher) Arnone, Peter & Milagros Gomez, & Arnaldo Gomez. Dear brother of Carol & Lawrence Newsome of Naples, Fl. Cherished grandfather of Erica (nee Rosedietcher) & her husband Ron Serio, Peter, Jr., Gabriel, Uriel & Denise Gomez and Bella the dog. Adored great-grandfather of 5. Also survived by many cousins & friends. Robert loved to travel with the family. He loved and enjoyed the pool, gardening and his chocolate Reeses Peanut Butter candy. Robert was loved deeply by his family & friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Wednesday at 9:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Funeral Mass 10:30AM Church of the St. Mary Rutherford. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM.
