Robert Bogan

Mr. Robert Bogan, was an extremely dedicated and devoted husband, Father, Grandfather (Pop-Pop) and Great-Grandfather, he passed away peacefully on November 26th, 2025 at the age of 93 at his home.

Born in Lyndhurst, NJ to John & Dorathea Bogan on February 1, 1932. Robert (Bob) met the love of his life at Lyndhurst High School, he served in the military as a Navy Seabee upon high school graduation. Immediately after discharge from the military he married his high school sweetheart, Janet Grasso. He dedicated his life to his wife and children.

Bob was deeply involved in his community, most notably as a football coach whose influence spanned generations. His former players continued to reach out to him well into his later years, a testament to the respect & admiration he inspired both on and off the field.

Bob embraced life with boundless energy. An avid runner, he completed multiple NYC Marathons, approaching each challenge with the same determination he brought to all his pursuits. He was a passionate traveler with a true sense of wanderlust, a gourmand and wine aficionado, whose bread and meals were loved by all who gathered at his table.

He cultivated lifelong friendships near and far and remained a loyal, loving family man. Bob will be remembered for his straightforwardness, generosity, integrity and direct, honest nature.

Robert was predeceased by his loving wife Janet of 69 years. He is survived by his loving children, Lauren Urgola (August) (née Bogan), Brett Bogan & Paola Balsamo, Denise Fuoco (Robert) (née Bogan), Lisa Bogan; grandchildren, Christin Vespi (Damon), John Urgola (Hemisha), Brittany Noseworthy (Mark), Stefanie Fuoco-Makrancy (Jared) Brielle Bogan - Rios (Isaac), Anthony Fuoco & Teresa Rosa, Blaise Melvin (Ty) and 9 great grandchildren.
