Robert John Daria, beloved husband, talented musician, and cherished community member, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 72. He was born on December 31, 1953, in Yonkers, NY, to John & Rose (nee DeMartino) Daria. Robert will be remembered for his kind spirit, creativity, and deep appreciation for nature and the arts.
After growing up in Yonkers, Robert married the love of his life, Athene (nee Stavaris) Daria, and they spent many wonderful years together in Leonia, NJ.
An accomplished musician, Robert had a passion for playing the guitar, piano, and drums. His love for music extended beyond personal enjoyment; he was also a talented playwright for the Players Guild of Leonia, contributing to the cultural life of his community. An ardent lover of nature and animals, he served on the Tree Commission in Leonia, advocating for the environment and the preservation of local greenery.
Robert was well-liked by all who knew him, known for his warm smile and genuine care for his friends and family. He enjoyed spending his free time gardening, especially growing vegetables, which he loved to share with those around him.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Athene Daria, his dear sister, Lynette Daria, and his cherished nephews, James and John Dietter. He leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and a profound connection to the community that enriched his life.
In accordance with the family's wishes, funeral services will be private.
