Haltiwanger, Robert Sidney Jr, 85 of Ft.Lee, NJ on November 17, 2008. Beloved husband of Dr. Marguarite LaBelle. Loving brother of John C Haltiwanger & his wife Dorothy and Sara Haltiwanger-Bencini. He was born March 15, 1923 in Winston-Salem, NC. Son of the lateJanie Love Couch & robert S. Haltiwanger Sr. Raised in North Carolina where he won seven singles & double tennis tournaments for the south-Eastern Chapionships. robert served in the US Army Airforce during WWII in the south Pacific Campaign. He graduated in 1947 with a BA Degree from Harvard University. He was a book publishing executive with Prentice Hall for 41 yrs, V.P. Sales in Atlanta from 1947-1956, south East Regional Manager from 1956-1965. Director of the 2 year Division in Englewood Cliffs from 1965-1971. Vice president of College Sales 1971-1980, President of Sales & Marketing 1980-1985, & simon &Shuster 1985-1988. He received the Chairmans Award-Gulf Western 1985, & the Frank Eneback Award in 1987. He was a member of the Harvard Club, NYC & KNickerbocker Country Club, Tenafly.
