It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosalie Torluccio, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on May 13, 1937, in Newark, NJ, to Angelo and Michelina (née Auriemma) Torluccio, Rosalie spent her early years in Newark and Boonton before settling in Whiting, NJ.
Rosalie's life was filled with warmth, laughter, and creativity. She began her career as a hairdresser, later becoming the head bank teller at her local bank in Crestwood Village. After retiring, she continued to lend her talents as a part-time secretary in a local law practice-another way she carried on her lifelong tradition of helping others. Known for her artistic gifts, Rosalie created beautiful crochet, needlepoint, and ceramic pieces that brought joy to family and friends alike.
Adventurous and spiritual by nature, Rosalie loved to travel and enthusiastically embraced new experiences. She visited many shrines devoted to Mary and cherished countless laughter-filled journeys with friends and family. Her zest for life was truly contagious.
A devoted member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Whiting, Rosalie was deeply committed to service and compassion, dedicating many years to caring for the residents of Crestwood Village. Most importantly, she was a steadfast supporter of her family, always ready to lend a hand and to share in every joy and challenge.
Rosalie's warmth, generosity, and spirit will forever be cherished by her family. She leaves behind her beloved sister Mary Ann D'Uva (and her late husband Gaetano) and her brother Michael Torluccio and his wife JoAnn. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Letizia and Glenn Duncan, Michael and Arlene D'Uva, Pilar and Eric LeMay, and Mac and Jessica Torluccio, as well as her great-nieces and nephews Arianna, Alessandro, Annalaan, Elena, Sofia, Massimo, Mia, and Jack. Rosalie also leaves behind many dear cousins that she loved very much.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, 10 AM-12 PM, at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 PM at Queen of Peace R.C. Church, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In honor of Rosalie's life of service and compassion, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Dorothea's Church, 240 Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724, in support of those in need.
Rosalie Torluccio will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in all who knew her.
