It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose D. Mraz, beloved mother and cherished grandmother, who departed this life on May 10, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on July 3, 1928, in Garfield, New Jersey, Rose resided in Elmwood Park for a remarkable 85 years, where she nurtured her family and established a legacy of love and devotion.
Rose dedicated her life to her family, always placing the needs of her loved ones above her own. She was a passionate and avid tennis player, finding joy and camaraderie on the court. Rose also had an eye for fashion and loved to accessorize her outfits, reflecting her vibrant personality and zest for life.
An avid reader throughout her life, Rose found great joy and comfort in books in her later years. She enjoyed traveling extensively throughout Europe, including a memorable trip to Scandinavia, where she immersed herself in the beauty and culture of each destination.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dul & Louise Maślanka, and her beloved husband, Anthony Mraz.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Jane Savino & her husband George, her son, Lawrence Mraz, and her grandson, George Anthony Savino. Together, they cherish the memories of her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support.
A visitation will be held at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst NJ on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4PM to 8PM. Funeral service will take place at the same venue on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11 AM. Interment, to follow, at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus NJ.
The family invites all who knew and loved Rose to join them in celebrating her extraordinary life and the profound impact she had on those around her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
