Salvatore Santoro, 93, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, August 30, 2010. Devoted son of the late Charles and Rose Santoro. Beloved husband of Lena. Loving father of Roy (deceased), Charles & his wife Sylvia, Salvatore & his wife Judy and Edward & his wife Dianne. Dear brother of Dr. George & his wife Mary Santoro, Dr. Edward & his wife Kate Santoro, Antoinette Ciance, Gilda DeSalvo and the late Dr. Sebastian, Carmella, Alfred and Palma Santoro. Cherished grandfather of Charles, Renee and Christina. Adored great-grandfather of Kyle Lordi. Mr. Santoro was born in Garfield, NJ and was a plasterer and builder for many years. He was one of the prime contractors for the restoration at Ellis Island. Funeral Friday at 8:30 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 9:30 AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Garfield. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
