Caring sister of Helen Lupyak. Devoted grandmother of Christina Cortese and Nicole & her husband Imad Ghandour. Adored great-grandmother of Gia Rose. Mrs. Cortese was a supervisor for Hudson City Savings Bank of Newark for over 25 years. Sophie was a member of the Belleville Seniors Clubs. Funeral Thursday at 10AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 11AM at St. Peter R.C. Church, Belleville. Interment Our Mother of Sorrows. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
