Stephen Fred Billitz

Stephen Fred Billitz, 72, a lifelong New Jersey resident, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, April 17th, 2026 He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Madeline, his younger brother, Douglas, and Doug's wife, Patricia.

He leaves behind an uncle, three aunts, and many cousins, as well as friends who love him and will miss him.

Steven was born in Elizabeth on January 19th, 1954, lived in Newark, then moved to Montville with his family in 1975 before going into a rehab/nursing facility the last year of his life.

He had several small pets during his life, yet loved all animals, especially his pet turtle (he named "Turtle") who is being cared for by a close relative.

Steven had been disabled for the past 41 years, yet remained true to his Christian faith in the Lord through to the end of his earthly life. He now rests in God's eternal light and love.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24th, 2026 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 6:00pm - 8:00pm in Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Fairfield. Entombment, Saturday 11:00am in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
