Susan Margaret Consalvo, a beacon of light and inspiration, passed away on January 31, 2026, in Lyndhurst, NJ, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 2, 1964, in Belleville, NJ,

As a Teacher's Aide, she poured her energy into supporting the growth and development of countless young lives. Her passion for education was not just a career; it was a calling. She inspired her students to reach for the stars and to believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Family was the cornerstone of Susan's world. Her beloved husband, Bernard Consalvo Jr., stood by her side in a partnership that was a true embodiment of love and mutual respect. Together, they raised three remarkable children: Bernard Consalvo III, Brandan Sauerwald, and Brittany Consalvo. The joy of her life was multiplied with the arrival of her granddaughter, Brooklyn Ava Consalvo, who was the apple of Susan's eye. The bond she shared with her brothers, Michael and Thomas Griggs, was unbreakable, filled with moments of laughter, support, and genuine camaraderie. She is also survived by her 6 nieces and nephews Thomas, Olivia, Jillian, Michael, Sean, and Danielle Griggs; her sister in laws Dana and Marie Griggs and Loraine Giaquinto; and her brother in law Anthony Giaquinto. 

Susan's Catholic and Jewish faith were a guiding light in her life, providing her with strength in times of trial and a sense of community that she cherished deeply. Her involvement in church activities was not just a duty but a source of immense joy and fulfillment. She lived her faith through her actions, showing kindness, compassion, and a willingness to help others at every opportunity.

As we reflect on Susan's life, we are reminded of the incredible impact one person can have on the world around them. She taught us that life's challenges are not obstacles but opportunities to grow and to show what we are truly made of.
