Thomas "Tom" Credidio of Fort Lee, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 23rd, 2025, in New York, NY. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn Credidio (née Palmer), and their daughters Stacy Credidio (Trish Robtoy), Sherri Benecke, Jill DiSalvo, and Jodi Cooper. His granddaughters, Ally Cooper and Alexa Robtoy-Credidio, as well as his grandson, James DiSalvo, each of whom he cherished deeply. Tom was widely regarded as a mentor to many both in his profession and on the tennis court, where his trademark smile and sense of humor brought happiness to everyone he encountered.
Tom was born on October 11th, 1945, in the Bronx and was an alumnus of Mount Saint Michael Academy. His commitment to excellence in education led him to Iona University, where he graduated with a degree in Marketing. He also served his country in the US Navy. Tom was co-founder and served as the Vice President of The DataFinders Group, Inc., a nationwide executive search firm that specialized in sales and sales support recruiting for the Information Technology industry. His professional acumen was matched by his passion for athletics; in 2006 he completed the NYC Marathon and his devotion to tennis led to his role as the Adult Clinic Tennis Manager at Maywood Tennis Club, where he played for many years.
Tom's love for the game was unparalleled. Maywood Tennis Club was his home away from home and his sportsmanship was admired by everyone he played with. In addition to attending the US Open every year, he also loved to travel with friends and family. Among his favorite destinations were Italy, Alaska, Lake George, and Hilton Head Island. Always eager to discover and enjoy new cuisines with those who shared his passion for good food, Tom always left room for ice cream, especially Tartufo.
Tom Credidio's legacy is one of enduring love, abundant laughter, and distinct kindness. His absence will be deeply felt, but the countless memories he created will bring comfort and smiles to all who knew him. Tom's life is a testament to the impact that one person can have on so many others. He will be profoundly missed.
