Valerie Leah (nee Valentine) Daub, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on October 29, 1939, in Hackensack, New Jersey, Valerie lived a vibrant life dedicated to her family and her passion for beauty. A talented hairdresser, she spent many fulfilling years at Supercuts in Lyndhurst, NJ, where her warm personality and skilled hands left a lasting impression on her clients.

Valerie was the proud mother of four: Pamela J. Scharch, Matthew G. Daub, Arthur J. Daub, and Valerie G. Daub. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Daniel R. Scharch and his wife Lindsey Zyzyck, Jason M. Scharch and his wife Celeste Roberge, Kelly L. Carvalho and her husband Ozy, Matthew L. Daub, and Jade L. Burke. Valerie was also a proud great-grandmother to Sabrina L. Carvalho, Anderson J. Carvalho, and Wells H. Scharch. Also survived by many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her dear brother, James G. Valentine,

In addition to her family, Valerie was an active member of the Woman's Club, where she fostered community spirit and camaraderie among friends. Valerie's warmth, laughter, and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday 1PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 149 Copeland Avenue, Lyndhurst.

Those wishing to honor Valerie's legacy are encouraged to make donations to cancer research in her name.

Valerie Leah Daub's light will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the love she instilled in her family and community. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
