It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Venus Mary Magella, who passed peacefully on March 18, 2026 at the age of 94.

Venus was a remarkable woman with vibrant grace-and an unmistakable presence that drew others to her the moment she entered a room. Her warmth, elegance, and natural magnetism left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman of deep caring and quiet strength, showing kindness in all aspects of her life. She will be remembered for the love she shared so generously and the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. In her professional life, she served diligently as a bank manager while lovingly raising her four children-a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to both her family and her career.

Known for her nurturing spirit, she cherished her family deeply. Beloved wife of the late Alfred. Loving mother of Susan & her husband Phil Permut, Michael & his wife Dianne Magella and the late Patricia Magella. She leaves her grandchildren: Amy Permut & her husband Jordan, Kristina Magella, Rachel Permut & her wife Jennie, David Magella, Elizabeth Magella and the late Melissa Permut. Devoted daughter of the late Louisa & Ned Saigh. Dear sister of the late Dr. Raymond Saigh.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Venus's life on Sunday, March 22 from 3-6PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd, Fairfield.

Private funeral services on Monday, March 23 at 10:30AM at the same location followed by the burial at Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.

She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of beauty and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
