Virginia Florence Sansevere

Our precious mother, Virginia Florence Sansevere, passed away on May 6th, 2023.
She was born to the late John and Jennie Lamendola, December 20th, 1928, in Hoboken New Jersey, where she met her late husband Sonny Sansevere to whom she was married for 50 years. They settled in Rutherford, where they lived and raised their family for over 40 years.
Our mother Virginia lived her life serving others with all her heart. Those who knew her were embraced in love and hope, through her warm words, unselfish acts of kindness, and unwavering faith. Virginia was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband Samuel A. Sansevere, her brother Phillip Lamendola, and her son, Charles Gerard Sansevere. Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Amelia Lamendola (Sister Maria Cordis). She will forever be in the hearts of her children John (Donna) Sansevere, Maria (Pete) Kelly, and Susan de los Santos. Virginia (Nanny) will be lovingly remembered by her thirteen grandchildren, Sharon, Patrick, William, Kelly, Harold, Danielle, John Jr., Nolan, Evan, Mackenzie, Marco, Samuel, Logan; and ten great grandchildren, Kyler, Brady, April, Maverick, Ronin, Ryker, Claire, Charlie, Leah, and Rebecca.
Funeral Wednesday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10AM Sacred Heart RC Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM. Flowers appreciated or donations may be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at afsp.org.
