Walter L. Lewis

Walter L. Lewis, 88, of Kinnelon, NJ, on Thursday, August 8, 2013. Beloved husband of JoAnn L. (nee Madsen) Lewis. Loving father of Robert & his wife Carol, Gary & his wife Lisa, Steven and the late Valerie Ann Lewis. Cherished grandfather of Alec & Kayla. Mr. Lewis was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp serving in the VMB-611 in the Philippines during WWII. Before retiring in 1989, Walter worked as a Trucker for 37 years for Suburban Transfer. He was a charter member of St. Thomas More Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral Tuesday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday 4-8 PM.
