James T. Neville, 75, of Whiting, New Jersey, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 3rd, at Lennox Hill Hospital, New York, New York. Jim was retired and thoroughly enjoyed the time with his family, friends and flying communities. Jim was born in Queens, NY to the late James Patrick & Anna Marie (Kraus) Neville. He attended Harriman College with a focus on Business Management. He earned his pilot's license at Teterboro School of Aeronautics. Jim was an active member of the AOPA and former Vice President of the Jersey Aero Club (JAC). Beloved husband of Mary Kate (nee Moran) Neville. Loving father of Ann-Marie Neville-Volpe & her husband Anthony. Cherished brother of Joan Neville-Venezia & her husband Albert and the late Edward & Gary Neville. Dear brother-in-law of Pamela Neville. Former husband of Nancy P. Youngblood. Jim served as Military Policeman in the US Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He was the Store Manager of Herb Jordan's General Tire in East Rutherford for 32 years before retiring in 2006. After his retirement, he was the Chief Label Maker at Accupac in Lakewood prior to retiring in 2020. Jim was a kind person with an engaging presence who treasured his relationships with his many friends and found his greatest joy spending time with his family and dog, Charlie. Jim was known for his great sense of humor, charm and sparkling blue eyes. Funeral Tuesday at 9:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10:30AM Church of St. Mary, Rutherford. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8PM.
