Louis M. Carola, 77, of Belleville, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" Carola. Loving father of Lisa & her husband Terenzio Capalbo and Gina & her husband Salvatore Chirico. Cherished Poppy of Dominic, Drea, Gerard, Nicolette and Ava. Dear brother of Ceal Giuliano and the late Joseph Carola and Geraldine Hughes, brother-in-law of Madeline Carola and Paul Stefanelli. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Luigi & Isabella Carola. Originally from Newark, Mr. Carola resided in Belleville for most of his life before moving to Fairfield two years ago. Mr. Carola was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight Ways for over 40 years and was also a shop steward at St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. He was a car enthusiast that loved Cadillac's and was always a sharp dresser. He adored his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. Funeral Monday at 8:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM at St. Lucy's R.C. Church, Newark. Entombment to follow Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ. Friends will be received Sunday 2-6PM.
