Angelina H. D'Elia

February 22, 1924 - April 11, 2019

Angelina D'Elia passed away on April 11, 2019 just recently after her 95th birthday in February. “Angie” lived an active life with her family in Jersey City and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1940. She then worked as a secretarial helper at the Western Electrical Company and for many years as a sales clerk at Sears in Union City. Angie then served as the family caretaker for her parents. Angie who had five brothers and sisters, is survived by her brother, Anthony D’Elia and will be remembered as “Aunt Angie” by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Ippolito and Lucy D’Elia, and brothers, Thomas and Carmine D’Elia. For many years she would drive her green Ford to visit family and friends in Jersey City, South Plainfield, and trips to the Jersey Shore. Finally forced to stop driving she spent her last few years happily at Chelsea Senior Living Home in Brick, New Jersey. A celebration mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, Lyndhurst, on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 12PM. Interment Monday, April 15, 2019 at 10:30AM Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Arrangements under the direction of Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst NJ 07071.
